SHADING SYSTEM

hand drawing

100% Made From Trash

The central fan of the shading system is made of PC, recycled from lenses, water containers or corrugated roof sheets. It is reinforced with glass fiber from recycled circuit boards.

Both outer parts are Nylon, recycled from fans, door handles and power tool shells.

The shading system's natural color is black. It can be spray-painted to colors matching building styles.

Versatility

The exposure to sun varies on every side of the building. The louvers were desiged so that a manual adjustment of its angle is possible before its installation

Easy modular installation

1 module of the shading system is composed of:

  • parts for 6 louvers
  • 2 extruded aluminum bars
  • screws
parts bw

Easy pre-installation in 3 steps

  • mount the louvers by interlocking the 3 parts. 12 positions of the central bar can be chosen to adapt the louver's angle to sun exposure.
  • mount the 6 louvers on the vertical aluminum bars
  • secure the louvers on the bars with 2 screws on each side

The modules obtained are then ready to be installed on a building's facade.

wind tests

Thermal chemical & mechanical strength

The shading system is resistant to any weather condition.

Heat & rain

Both PC and Nylon's melting point is above 200°C, ensuring a high resistance to particularly hot weather. By nature, plastics are also more durable in rainy and humid conditions.

Wind

The shading system was designed to resist to tropical storm winds. The materials selected allow the louvers to bend without breaking under extreme wind conditions. Official wind tunnel tests run by the Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology demonstrated the performances of the shading system with wind going up to 157 MPH and resulting in official certification.
